Once Removed—Series Trailer

Once Removed—Series

LGBTQ people from the Upper Midwest talk about family, both The families that made us and families we make. Queer folks often have a unique relationship with family. We find beautiful ways to connect with and care for each other and those we love. Listen to Once Removed to hear stories from LGBTQ people of all walks of life. This project is supported by a grant from the Metro Regional Arts Council of the Twin Cities and through the Artist-in-Residence program at Unity Unitarian Church in St. Paul. Paul Kruse is a fiscal year 2024 recipient of a Creative Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

The Once Removed—Series started with my solo play by the same name, exploring the Queer history of my own family. I have been delighted to expand this work, including the stories of many other LGBTQ people and their families in the Upper Midwest. Full episodes will be coming soon.
